FYDP is delighted to reveal the launch of its new radio station, Farsley Radio, set to start in March. The radio station will consist of a podcast,(downloadable here), and eventual Live streaming. FYDP manager Howard Bradley is delighted that the radio station will soon be up and running.

“This will be a great opportunity for young people to creatively get their voice heard within the community. We hope that there will be exciting music programs but also opportunities for young people to interview and chat with members of the Farsley community, of all ages.”

FYDP are launching a new youth club for 8-13 year olds in March, which will take place in partnership with Farsley Farfield Primary School. The club has been a long term task of FYDP manager Howard Bradley, who is pleased that the club has been finalised.
“We have been looking at working with this group for a long time. They are currently too young to come on our regular Friday night bus sessions, but have been telling us they would like some times when they can get together too.”
Activities will include arts and crafts, games and a monthly film club. If you or someone you know would be interested in taking part then contact us and we will let you know when the club is going to start.
We are still looking for a good name for the club – so let us know if you have any good ideas!

FYDP are delighted that local MP Paul Truswell is visiting the bus on Friday February 13th. Paul has been a long term supporter of the project and has helped arrange the trip to London where the young people will visit sites such as the House of Commons and Buckingham Palace.
The young people are ready and waiting with lots of questions about the upcoming trip to London.
We can’t promise that it won’t be freezing but we can promise a warm welcome from the young people.

The users of FYDPs youth bus the Sub have been working with professional graphic designer Sally Paddock on an exciting new set of designs for the outside of the vehicle. They give it a fresh new look and make it easily identifiable to all the residents of Farsley. The bus provides a youth club on wheels each Friday between 7 and 8.30 near Farsley Farfield Primary School.
The designs will be unveiled as part of the FYDP Annual General Meeting, which will take place during March but you can see a sneak preview of them below.
